It’s My Birthday Weekend & A Freebie!

Scheduled post.

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! How are you? I am stoked (or at least I want to be) because with everything going on with my family life and such, today, I plan on doing something other than sulking. Tomorrow (April 3rd) is my birthday, and with my anxiety/depression issues, my daughter and I are celebrating my birthday a day early. And that is because if I don’t get to do anything the day of, at least I have done something the day before.

Monday, I am going with my mother who is having surgery done. I hope everything goes well with that. I can’t begin to say what else is going on, because I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. You know when one thing happens, five more and another five followed. Those things had occasionally affected my mental health, and I have been working on that. The medication for anxiety/depression isn’t working like it should. I have been taking them since last November.

Okay, enough of all of that. I want to think happy thoughts for a change, and don’t want to sound down when there are others who are going through something as well.

Today, my daughter and I are going shopping, and to see the movie, Morbius. And do whatever else I would like to do. This is the first time in a very long time, I get to do what I want and feel like doing for my birthday. I used to spend it sitting around where I used to live with someone who do not like me leaving the house unless he said so.

Okay, I’m beginning to ramble…

So, also for the weekend, I am catching up on books I haven’t finished reading and new books. And well into next week while I sit in with my mom while she recovers. (It may take several weeks for her recovery though.)

For my birthday, I am doing what I normally do like I do other parts of the year, which is donating to charity. Other than donating money, clothes, and non-perishable, I like that in my area, the money people donate goes to help abused women and children. And help people pay their bills, medications, and such.

And, drum roll, please. Okay, just kidding. Also for my birthday weekend, my ebook, Secrets Unveil will be available for free starting today and up until Wednesday (4/6). So, if you don’t have a copy and would like to get one, now is your chance.

Available at Amazon.

Thank you for reading this post. I hope you have a good rest of your weekend. Stay safe and be well.

The Night That Started It All #amwriting #fiction

From my novel (w.i.p.) Secrets Unveil

Paris was last to sashay in with her Jovani strapless gown that flows around her ankle, decked out in sparkling diamonds. Caitlin had told her to wear a thong with that dress, but Paris declined on that. She didn’t thought it was necessary even though no one could see though the dress.

Her sparkling silver stilettos that the girls taught her how to walk in, was an eye-popping beauty. She looks ravishing in her diamonds, and with her auburn hair swept back into a bun with soft tendrils accentuating her gorgeous face.Trudy, who’s an expert nineteen year-old in cosmetics, done an exceptional job on Paris’ face. She was simply flawless. So elegantly.

Even though Paris was the youngest and the newest female there, everyone took extra care of her. The older women introduce themselves and made small talk before moving away. Gentlemen tend to her every need leaving Paris believing if the party was really about her.

Paris sat with Caitlin and a few girls on a white leather couch. She had never seen a white leather couch before and she immediately touch it so see if it was real. She was amazed and then admire the immaculate living area.

There was decorative African arts on the walls and the floors. Accented mirrors were everywhere. The ceiling was vaulted and the crown moldings was impressive. Paris couldn’t stop admiring the view as she felt a soft caress on her shoulder. It was Travis.

Blogging Goals For 2016

Hmm. My blogging goals for 2016? Well, first off let me say, 2015 have been an interesting year. I met some wonderful people whom I’ve shared the same interests with- you all are awesome and I am thankful to have met you!

I had bookoos of writing and blogging challenges. I had completed a novel in 90 days, which took a lot out of me but was worth it. Did I mentioned the beautiful spirits I’ve met here on WordPress?

For 2016, my goals are to publish more on my blog, but differently than I used to. However I go with my posts, I can only hope it’s successful and I don’t get bogged down. For Secrets Unveil, I’m hoping to find an agent or whatever direction I’m headed to. It’s very taxing so kudos to all who has already on their writing journey.

Two new pages has already been created and I plan on giving this blog a new theme. One page is already in the works. Secrets Unveil has its own page which talks about, you know it, my book. Right now is only the synopsis. You can check it out here. I want to put certain posts/stories in its own place, which make it easy to find.

The other page is called Romance-Erotica Stories. Which housed stories from previous posts that I’m moving here that meets the page criteria. The page is up but starting next year I will add stories to this page.

I want to work on myself and for once do what makes me happy without letting others orchestrate my life. I like helping people, and also for next year, I want to be more involve in any way I can. I believe you can get far with like people when we all work together.

That’s my goals for 2016 so far. I have a lot of I(s) in this post. What are your goals for 2016?
