She wanted something else, something different, something more. Passion and romance perhaps, or maybe quiet conversations in candlelit rooms, or perhaps something as simple as not being second.
Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

Sometimes it doesn’t take much just to spend that quality time with your significant other. Oftentimes, we get so caught up in our own matters that we neglect the ones who only want or need just the minimal. No one likes to play second, at least not for too long.

Spiritually Speaking Poem- Relationship Realities

I’ve found this beautiful poem through Klout via the website listed below. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

But do you see how this is not possible?
That your it, is not my it.

That our realities

Are in fact not the same.

That my purpose is not your purpose
My eyes don’t see the way your eyes see.

My ears receive different information

And your way

Is not my way

Your path

Is not right, nor wrong

But it’s yours
And not mine.

Our destinations may be the same,

So I sweetly ask

To refrain from using those words

On myself

On yourself

On your lover

On the fellow people

Of this planet that we share

And to remember

That your it, is not my it

My purpose is not your purpose

My eyes don’t see the way your eyes see.”

How One Keep A Relationship- Love Unconditionally

First, get to know and love yourself!

Happy Friday!

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

— Anonymous

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.”

Don’t Give Up On Love- #MondayMotivation #ladies

When I look around and see couples together, I think back to the quote above that’s been stalking me for a long time. Why it had been you asked? Because it’s not easy finding that imperfectly person. Whether it’s a man or woman. It takes hard work and communication to build a foundation on trust and commitment.

There are couples who have been married for several decades. It gives me… hope. But, don’t let me bring you down; I’m just the unlucky ones. LoL.

Though, ladies, it’s not easy to find a man that possess those qualities you’re looking for in a mate. But when you do, hold on to him. Some people search their whole life for that right guy, and ended up wondering, “where is he?” They can ask themselves that question many times, but that RIGHT guy will come when you are least expected. Do NOT go searching for him; he will come to you.

The guy that is chosen for you comes from the Divine One, our Lord and Savior. That particular man is meant for you and is perfect in your eyes despite all of his flaws. The qualities women look for in a mate are:

  1. Honesty
  2. To be able to protect
  3. Get up and go
  4. Belief
  5. Sense of humor
  6. Reliability
  7. Commitment
  8. Respect
  9. Attune to feelings
  10. Attractiveness
  11. Assertiveness
  12. Faithful

Attractiveness doesn’t always come down to facial features. There are other features in him that will attract you to him.
That man is your best friend, lover, a fan, and above else; he’s someone whom you can trust and respect.
Someone who can go to the end of the earth just to make you smile, is the person that you can count on to tell a silly joke when you’re feeling down.

It’s also a two-way street. A woman will do just as much for her man if not more that he will do for her. Be thankful for a person’s wonderful qualities as your mate. Although you may go through a pile of rocks, that diamond will be there waiting to be discovered. And it will be helluva worth it!

Come Now: An Adult Poem

Today’s poem is by an author named Hilda Carroll, I and found it truly compelling.

I hope you enjoy this poem and that it moves you as it has to me.

~

Come now.
I’ve been waiting a long time.
And okay, I know I’m not fully ready,
But as they say, I’m as ready as I’ll ever be.
Because the rest of the readiness
Can only come through being with you.
I’ve come as far as I can on my own,
I need you by my side to go the rest of the way.
I’ve done the navel gazing,
Self-exploration and reflection.
Enough now—
Only by being with you
Can I complete the journey.
I need to park the analysis now
And go back to making mistakes
That I can learn from.
I’m willing to feel the fear
Of the big reveal
And do it anyway.
But you aren’t here
For me to expose myself to.
You are the missing piece,
So come.
