March Writing Challenge- Day 12: Have You Ever Unplugged From The Internet For More Than A Week?

Yes. I have definitely unplugged for more than a week. Or was it almost a week? I’m not so sure, but it was a few times when I simply didn’t have internet anyway.

During those times I tend to maybe read, meditate, go for a walk, listen to music, and whatever else. That is when I am off from work or whenever I can make the time.

Sometimes we need a little break from the internet with all the crazy- uh, things going on. With the good and bad, we all still need a break to recharge and relax.

As often as I can, I may not go on a certain social media platform or avoid other parts of the Internet for a certain amount of days. Most days, I’ll avoid the Internet altogether and do other things I mentioned above along with watching movies.  I used it as a time to relax my mind. I like getting back to those days before there were the Internet or perhaps, the way it were before these social media, Tik Tok, and other platforms came to be.

Now, I try to do things in moderation because the Internet isn’t going anywhere.

How about yourself? Have you ever unplugged from the Internet for any certain amount of time?

Thanks for reading.

  1. If it weren’t for my huge family, I’d delete Facebook altogether. With folks so scattered around the world, and covid-19, it’s the only way (and easiest) to stay connected. I do absolutely nothing with my author page there, but don’t let that get out. LOL!

I don’t Snapchat, Whatsapp, or TikTok, and it makes unplugging easier when you’re not all over the place. 😀

    1. I definitely hear you on that about it makes it easier to unplug when you’re not all over the place. I don’t have those three things either but I’m only keeping Facebook…for now, for the groups I’m in.
I suppose we aren’t missing much not having other social media accounts. Lol.
