There is something to be said about a love that feels just right, so unconditional. A love that is eternal that most wish and/or pray for.

It is to be said that most songs are a classic. Most of these timeless songs are dated over a course of decades.

It is no wonder that I love and groove while allowing certain genres of music serenade me with its spellbinding sounds and lyrics. They make you feel like the world doesn’t exist for the moment, just you and the song.

There’s one in particular called, Unchained Melody that I had heard in a movie called Ghost when I was in elementary school. (I’m starting to think music started to capture me during my preadolescent days.)

This version of the song sung by Bobby Hatfield is so beautiful. His voice in this song is a sweet melody that I didn’t grew to love. I was already in love with it during that first time seeing Patrick Swayze with Demi Moore in that pottery scene. It made me cry for both reasons.

This 50-plus-years old song has been the centerfold for love and is one of the greatest love songs ever. Such a time for the ones who grew up hearing songs like this when they were children, teenagers and now have children and grandchildren of their own.

And Unchained Melody had caused the adults to fall in love over and over, and including the ones who was born in the 80s and beyond who take appreciative of such a song.

LYRICS:

Chorus:
Woah, my love, my darling
I’ve hungered for your touch
A long, lonely time
And time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine?
I need your love
I need your love
God speed your love to me
Verse:
Lonely rivers flow
To the sea, to the sea
To the open arms of the sea, yeah
Lonely rivers sigh
“Wait for me, wait for me”
I’ll be coming home, wait for me
Chorus:
Woah, my love, my darling
I’ve hungered, hungered for your touch
A long, lonely time
And time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine?
I need your love
I need your love
God speed your love to me
